This Board was established in 2006. It is situated in Bangladesh’s northern area.  (DEB) The board is located in Dinajpur, Bangladesh. Although located in Dinajpur, it is the regulatory authority for the Rangpur division’s secondary and higher secondary level educational institutions. In 2006, to expand education, secondary and higher secondary education was established in the local areas of Rangpur, Kurigram, Lalmonirhat, Gaibandha, Nilphamari, Dinajpur, Thakurgaon, Panchagarh districts of Rangpur division to promote education, teaching and development. Currently, 100 employees and 18 officers are working on this board. The financial solvency of these education boards was achieved during the tenure of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s government. Construction of the institution’s infrastructure, accommodation of the employees, allowances, all the education board has its funds and has to be implemented.

This Board has 634 lower secondary schools, 2763 secondary schools, 227 schools, and 456 colleges under this board. Four thousand eighty educational institutions come under this Board.
